300 Free Events At Randall’s Island To Get Outdoors This Season
Arts festivals, live music, yoga, and so much more on Randall's Island this spring and summer.

RANDALL’S ISLAND, NY — If you are in need of an island vacation, you don’t need a plane ticket to get to Randall’s Island.
The green park space just across the water from East Harlem is hosting more than 300 free events this season, including favorites like the Earth Day festival, an annual art and music celebration, yoga classes, volunteer opportunities, and more.
“With spring right around the corner, I am thrilled to welcome patrons both old and new to Randall’s Island Park in the coming weeks,” Deborah Maher, president of the Randall’s Island Park Alliance, said. “ Our diverse programming slate has something for everyone and I’m looking forward to seeing our Park vibrant and bustling!”
In addition to special festivals and events, the park will begin to host regular, weekly yoga classes, and volunteer sessions to give back to the park starting in May.

The next major family event is the Waterfront Festival, which will be on July 19, to celebrate all things water and summer, with live music, face painting, snacks and water-based activities.
Then, the season will close out with the Harvest Festival, on Sept. 28, to celebrate the end of the growing season and enjoy the outdoors before it gets cold in the city once again.
“We are extremely excited to share what we have in store for our parkgoers in 2025, especially for the local communities we cherish in the South Bronx, East Harlem, and Queens,” Anna Kemeny, the public programs manager at the Randall’s Island Park Alliance, said.
